How to embed HTML codes in Adobe Muse

Today a lot of websites allow you to embed their content with the help of HTML and JavaScript codes. They just let you know where to place those codes in the page but you dont know how to insert the codes in the page created in Muse. Here is the guidelines for embeding codes in your Adobe Muse pages.

Add codes in the <body> of the page:

  • To add a code to the body of the page try steps below.
  • Copy the code you want to embed in the body of the page.
  • Open the page in Design mode.
  • Click Object > Insert HTML.
  • A window will Open providing you the space to paste the code.
  • Paste  the code and click on OK.
  • It will cleat a container named as “Embedded HTML”
  • Move and Place the container to the location of your choice in the page.

Add codes in the <head> of the page:

  • To add a code to the head of the page try steps below.
  • Copy the code you want to embed in the head of the page.
  • Open the page in Design mode.
  • Click Page > Page Properties > Metadata
  • Look for the section “HTML for <head>”
  • Paste  the code and click on OK.
  • Once you export or preview the page codes you will be able to the codes embedded in the head.

Add codes before Closing body tag or after opening body tag:

Muse do not give you a direct option to insert HTML code before the closing body tag  or after opening body tag but you can achieve this with the help of the widget below:

If you have a code that needs to be added to each page of your  site then use the same steps in the Master Page and make sure all the pages are linked to this master page.
